Course Overview
Join us Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 6PM ET for a live, virtual 1.5-hour CME, discussing updates in multiple sclerosis management focused on COVID-19 and women’s health.

During the course, Rachel Brandstadter, MD and Christopher Perrone, MD will review their recent work in MS management. Dr. Brandstadter will speak to her work in women’s health, specifically as it pertains to MS diagnosis in childbearing years and family planning. Dr. Perrone will discuss treatment best practices and clinical management for MS patients during the COVID-19 era.

Dina Jacobs, MD and Amit Bar-Or, MD, FRCPC will serve as featured moderators for the Q&A portion of the course. Drs. Jacobs and Bar-Or will also review the qualifications for becoming a comprehensive MS center and the treatment benefits patients experience there.

In this course, expert faculty will highlight emerging therapies and current guidance on treatment selection in the management of patients with MS. The course will conclude with a Q&A panel, featuring all four Penn Medicine physicians.

  2. Describe emerging therapies that reduce disease activity and delay progression
  3. Identify how MS can impact a woman’s ability to have and raise children
  4. Recognize the risks of COVID-19 for MS patients
  5. Assess the patient benefits of receiving treatment at a comprehensive MS center
