This case conference follows a video rounds format, commonly used in movement disorders, where videos of unusual movement disorders or unusual presentations of common movement disorders are presented and the phenomenology narrated. The case is then discussed. The goal of the presentation is to adequately identify the phenomenology, discuss the differential diagnosis and most appropriate management.

Department of Medicine faculty and trainees review cases where morbidity and/or mortality occurred. These include all "Below Expected Risk" deaths and cases that highlight important clinical and system topics. Lead by the PPMC's Patient Safety Officer, Hospitalist leadership and the Chief Resident, cases are presented critical audience with a goal of minimizing preventable death and morbidity.

The goal of the Hematology/Oncology Tumor Board Case Conference is to present cases and introduce data to support the treatment of plan. The conference will address many issues pertaining to diagnosis of patients. Fellows present the cases along with experts who advise the proper treatment plan. Each case presentation is supported by evidence from the research literature.

This conference aims to provide educational content related to quality improvement in healthcare and anesthesiology. Major themes include QI science, performance improvement science, feedback about safety events and implementation of best practices. We will review current departmental data and leverage the conference to amplify learning systems on transformation to a high reliability organization.
