    Course Overview
    The Penn Rheumatology Education Program has the goal of providing a forum for education of nurses and physicians in the various outpatient practice sites of the Division of Rheumatology to learn about rheumatic diseases; the treatment of rheumatic diseases, including medication dosing, side effects; the clinical operations related to delivery of care to patients with rheumatic diseases; learning existing and formulating new policies and procedures regarding care.

    INTERNAL MEDICINE - Rheumatology

    AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance / Participation (1.00 hours), Nursing Contact Hours (1.00 hours)

    Objectives
    1. Improve knowledge base regarding the manifestations and management of rheumatic diseases
    2. Develop the skills to assess and differentiate manifestations of rheumatic diseases and rheumatologic emergencies from issues outside the scope of rheumatology
    3. Review and incorporate into clinical practices uniform processes from communication with providers and patients
