    Course Overview
    Responsible physicians will present catherization/interventional case management difficulties in caring for patients with a variety of coronary, valvular, myocardial, pericardial and electrophysiologic disorders. Relevant case materials will be discussed, and aspects of management will be offered in each case. Continuing review of changes in quality of care as revealed by medical audits or patient-care reviews.

    AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance / Participation (1.00 hours), Nursing Contact Hours (1.00 hours), Patient Safety/Risk Management PSRM (1.00 hours)

    Objectives
    1. Describe standards of care in the field of cardiology
    2. Improve skills and interpretation of diagnostic tools, such as echo, CT scan, EPS testing coronary angiography, and vascular angiography
    3. Evaluate risks and benefits for different managements strategies in adult acquired heart disease
    4. Identify statistics of caseloads and complications for cardiovascular surgery and interventional cardiology at PPMC
