    Course Overview
    The goal of the series is to enhance and update physician and allied health professionals? knowledge and clinical skills; increase awareness and understanding of emerging translational and clinical science, provide opportunities for dialog and debate with the cardiology team and experts on topics related to cardiovascular medicine; support change in practice behavior as necessary to conform with established bodies of evidence and clinical practice guidelines which lead to improved patient outcomes.

    1. Assess patient care through discussing medical errors, complications and unanticipated outcomes
    2. Describe evidence supporting the latest treatments for cardiac conditions
    3. Recognize the value of systems-based practice and the importance of collaborative efforts involving physicians and staff for safety and quality improvements
