    Course Overview
    The goal of the Rheumatology Case Management series is to identify diagnostic and management issues that may have challenged the faculty and the fellows. The series attempts to implement what has been learned in our clinical practice and/ or we try to further analyze the need through a quality improvement project.

    INTERNAL MEDICINE - Rheumatology

    Credits
    AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance / Participation (1.00 hours), Patient Safety/Risk Management PSRM (1.00 hours)

    Objectives
    1. Demonstrate improved clinical assessment of patients; and improved ability to look beyond the rheumatology field when asked to consult on patients in the hospital setting.
    2. Demonstrate improved skills in assessing and differentiating illnesses that mimic rheumatological diseases as to avoid misdiagnosis and mismanagement
    3. Demonstrate increased understanding and skill in incorporating into clinical practice the latest guidelines in therapy of Rheumatological disorders.

    In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
