    Course Overview
    Plastic Surgery M and M Conference provides opportunities for learning and reflection. The goal of M and M conference is to provide a forum for staff and trainees to explore the management details of particular cases wherein a morbidity or mortality occurred. In carefully reviewing the records and specifics of care, a primal goal of these sessions is to revisit errors to gain insight without blame or derision. Also, current literature is reviewed by participants in preparation for each session. This is a core requirement of all training programs under the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education.

    AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (1.00 hours), Non-Physician Attendance / Participation (1.00 hours), Nursing Contact Hours (1.00 hours), Patient Safety/Risk Management PSRM (1.00 hours)

    Objectives
    1. Discuss recent publications in the plastic surgery literature relevant to cases presented
    2. Describe Initial care and ultimate management of specific plastic surgery cases and conditions and their complications
    3. Describe and teach principles of plastic surgery based on evidence-based research and clinical experience
