Course Overview

This practical, case-based course is designed for clinical radiologists seeking structured approaches to complex imaging diagnoses. Emphasizing real-world strategies over disease detail, the program focuses on algorithmic interpretation methods applicable in everyday practice. Led by Penn Radiology subspecialists and guest faculty, the course spans five days: two on abdominal imaging, one on neuroradiology, and one and a half on chest imaging. Each day features a mix of didactic lectures and interactive case discussions to reinforce key concepts. Set in beautiful Vail, Colorado, the schedule offers morning and late afternoon sessions, leaving participants 6.5 hours each day to enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, or relaxing in the mountains. It's the ideal combination of education and outdoor recreation!

  3. Recall common “don’t touch” lesions and anatomic variants in neuroimaging that can mimic pathology and lead to unnecessary biopsy/surgery
  4. Identify key features to differentiate abdominal cancer mimics from actual malignancy.
  5. Differentiate a minimally invasive adenocarcinoma from an inflammatory pulmonary lesion.
