The Penn Transplant Institute (PTI) Education Series is a regularly scheduled series hosted on the second Thursday of each month. The Goal of the PTI Education Series is to provide education to Transplant Providers (PAs, NPs, MDs, PharmD), Nurses, Pharmacists, and Transplant Coordinators working within the Penn Transplant Institute. The topics of this series will be focused on the multidisciplinary care of organ transplant recipients, including heart, lung, liver, pancreas, kidney, and vascular composite allograft (VCA) transplant, as well as organ donors.

Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Discuss the indications for Solid Organ Transplantation
  2. Describe the Surgical Techniques and Complications related to Transplantation
  3. Review the Post-Operative Care of Transplant Recipients and Organ Donors
  4. Discuss the Multidisciplinary Approach to Transplant Care
