Course Overview

Patient cases are presented by the managing attending physician and/or resident physician, and reviewed by peer physicians along with the interprofessional team (nurses, nurse practitioners, residents).

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Discuss appropriate current management of a particular grade > 3 sequelae
  2. Review current literature on outcomes and management of challenging oncology cases
  3. Describe communication between nurses and physicians regarding radiation treatment side effects
  4. Discuss how to foster effective communication with patients
