Course Overview
Join us for the DBEI CCEB Epidemiology Seminar Series 2025-26, a comprehensive and engaging series of talks that delve into the latest advancements and research in the field of epidemiology. This seminar series is designed to provide a platform for pharmacists, physicians, and nurses, as well as other experts, researchers, and students to share their insights and findings on a wide range of epidemiological topics.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Discuss appropriate targets for intervention to improve public health.
  2. Discuss statistical techniques for specific applications of epidemiological research and understand their limitations and assumptions.
  3. Describe the role of epidemiological studies to inform clinical practice in veterinary and human medicine.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.  

Designation of Credit
Physicians: Penn Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.00 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Physician Assistants: AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. PAs may receive a maximum of 1.00 Category 1 credits for completing this activity.

Nurses: This program provides 1.00 NCPD Hours.

ABS MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn 1.00 credits toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
