The Division of Gastroenterology strives to provide its students, residents, fellows, PA's, faculty and non-faculty staff with the most up-to-date information about the practices of clinical gastroenterology and Hepatology. Clinical Case Conference is aimed at educating the GI clinical team on rare, complicated, or novel patient presentations, Endoscopy CQI is aimed at a higher level of case conferences.

Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Discuss evidence-based and systematic approaches for challenging cases in gastroenterology and hepatology.
  2. Describe appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic options with a favorable cost-benefit ratio.
  3. Discuss how to incorporate the latest guideline- and evidence-based options for inpatient and outpatient care in gastroenterology.


In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
