This activity is designed to efficiently discuss the most recent clinical advances in oncology. The meeting will address the questions that have emerged from the latest data presented at major international annual meetings. Activity format will provide the opportunity for interaction with Penn Medicine faculty and other attendees. Participants will gain up-to-date, practical information with immediate clinical application, as well as a technical and scientific background on the current state of the field and emerging advances.

Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Evaluate recent clinical data to optimize the selection of therapies for leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.
  2. Incorporate evidence-based updates for breast, gastrointestinal, and lung cancers into clinical practice.
  3. Identify recent therapeutic advances and evolving standards of care for genitourinary (GU) malignancies.
  4. Integrate novel treatment protocols into the management of patients with melanoma.
  5. Assess clinical implications of recent advances in neuro-oncology for patient management.
  6. Apply scientific updates from international meetings to clinical decision-making and care coordination for oncology patients


In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.  

Designation of Credit
Physicians: Penn Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 3.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 3.50 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
