Course Overview
This virtual activity is designed to efficiently discuss the most recent clinical advances in oncology. The meeting will address the questions that have emerged from the latest data presented at major international annual meetings. Participants will leave with up-to-date, practical information with immediate clinical application, as well as a technical and scientific background on the current state of the field and emerging advances.

Specialties - CLINICAL CYTOGENETICS AND GENOMICS, CLINICAL GENETICS AND GENOMICS (MD), CLINICAL MOLECULAR GENETICS AND GENOMICS, INTERNAL MEDICINE - Medical Oncology, MEDICAL GENETICS AND GENOMICS - Molecular Genetic Pathology, SURGERY - Complex General Surgical Oncology

Learning Objectives
  1. List COVID 19 disease prevention policies for cancer patients
  2. List changes in cancer management for patients affected by COVID 19
  3. Identify recent advances in immunotherapy for cancer treatment
  4. Implement new clinical findings to a broad range of tumor types
  5. Identify issues related to extent of therapy by genomics, stage and patient condition

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.  

Designation of Credit
Physicians: Penn Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 2.75 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Physician Assistants: AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. PAs may receive a maximum of 2.75 Category 1 credits for completing this activity.

Nurses: This program provides 2.75 NCPD Hours.

ABS MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn 2.75 credits toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program.
