Course Overview
This is the 20th year for the International Symposium on Ventricular Arrhythmias: Pathophysiology and Therapy. Using a combination of didactic presentations, panel discussions, and question and answer sessions, our goal is to educate the participants in state of the art information regarding the pathophysiology and treatment of ventricular arrhythmias. The structure of the symposium is meant to be highly interactive. There will also be VT ablation cases streamed live from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania during which a moderated panel discussion and question and answer session will occur to educate and demonstrate to the audience members the most up to date mapping and ablation techniques for complex ventricular arrhythmias.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Discuss strategies to improve treatment outcomes in patients with ventricular arrhythmias and structural heart disease including new ablation techniques and technologies
  2. Discuss the current status and future role for device therapy in the management of sudden cardiac death and heart failure.
  3. Discuss the role of new techniques for VT substrate assessment including high density mapping, MRI and other imaging techniques, and use of artificial intelligence
  4. Describe risk stratification for sudden death and treatment, including VF ablation, in patients with VF due to various substrates and syndromes
  5. Identify the challenges related to treatment of PVCs and idiopathic VT
  6. Describe the status of ongoing multicenter VT related trials and discuss future directions and questions to be answered
  7. Describe the science critical to the understanding and treatment of ventricular arrhythmias, including the role of the autonomic nervous system in ventricular arrhythmogenesis and the anatomic substrate for ventricular arrhythmias

The 20th Annual International Symposium on Ventricular Arrhythmias: Pathophysiology and Therapy will be held Friday-Saturday, October 10-11, 2025 by in-person or live-stream (virtual) attendance. The live and virtual presentations will follow the scheduled agenda in real time (EDT).

Designation of Credit

Cancellation
In order to process refunds for course withdrawals, cancellations must be received in writing by September 26, 2025 and are subject to a service charge equal to 10% of the registration fee but no less than $25. No refunds will be issued thereafter.
