Course Overview
Throughout the course of the series, participants will have the opportunity to bring forth clinical cases for which they have questions surrounding the genomic results. Physicians with expertise in genomics and various cancer types will give didactics where they discuss topics such as mutation classes and which are more likely to be disease causing in tumor suppressors versus oncogenes, review the clinical differences between DNA, RNA and protein based tests and identify important components of a DNA sequencing report from different vendors for use with online resources to help understand the genetic mutations seen in patients’ germline and tumor sequencing reports.
