Course Overview
The opioid crisis has invaded every corner of the US. And with the highest rate of overdose death among major cities, Philadelphia has been hit especially hard — a statistic that COVID-19 has only exacerbated. How do you begin to tackle multiple complex public health emergencies? Is there hope for life beyond addiction?

Join Penn Medicine faculty as they discuss the inroads being made in this fight. Learn how research on the disease of addiction at Penn is setting new standards of care, driving more effective treatment protocols, and establishing the role of genetics in developing the next generation of interventions.

This educational outreach event is the second in an ongoing series open to the community, we hope you will join us in the future to learn more.
