Course Overview
The goal of the ID Case Management Conference as an educational activity is to create a setting where real cases are presented and discussed. This will keep the attendees (physicians, nurses, pharmacists) up-to-date with the latest trends in infectious diseases, diagnoses, diagnostic approaches, and treatments. Such a series will allow attendees to maintain their competence and improve patient safety. These goals are also important links to the departmental/institutional quality improvement initiatives

Objectives
  1. Generate differential diagnoses in patients presenting with illnesses that could be caused by infectious diseases
  2. Improve confidence in understanding the latest modes for diagnostic testing for infectious diseases
  3. Review the latest treatment options for infectious diseases
  4. Improve communication across clinical teams to improve quality of care and patient safety
