Several advances have been made in recent years to improve our ability to prevent the development and progression of cardiovascular disease. This program will provide an overview of recent advances that target the underlying pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease. The focus of the program will be on optimal pharmacotherapy in specific high-risk patient populations, lifestyle interventions for the management of hypertension, and non-pharmacologic approaches to cardiovascular risk prevention.
