This planned every other month series is directed towards providing an update for medical assistants, nurses, APPs and pharmacists on commonly encountered diagnoses and conditions in the ambulatory setting with a focus on a multidiciplinary approach to management.

Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Discuss perimenopause and menopause, including key clinical features and diagnostic criteria.
  2. Discuss how to Interpret and clarify findings from the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) study and their impact on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) use.
  3. Describe treatment options for menopausal symptoms, including hormone replacement therapy and evidence-based alternative therapies.
