The Anesthesiology and Critical Grand Rounds consists of a weekly lecture series featuring speakers from a variety of academic institutions as well as Penn that covers a range of topics germane to the field of anesthesiology. The goal of this series is to improve the participants’ medical knowledge in the realms of preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative anesthetic care, review and integrate evidence-based advances in the field of anesthesiology and its subspecialties, and provide attendees a forum for the discussion of current clinical and basic science research with recognized leaders in the field.

Objective(s): 1 Describe the context and importance of an embedded high reliability culture in the perioperative landscape. 2 Describe the spectrum of outcome quality metrics in the critical care care setting. 3 Review the quality indicators in the management of an operating suite environment. 4 Discuss current quality initiatives in perioperative imaging for improvements in care delivery.

Objectives
