There are two cohorts to choose from: 
COHORT 1: ONSITE, March 17, 2026, 8:30AM - 12:30PM, Jordan Medical Education Center, Room #514 JMEC, 3400 Civic Center Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
COHORT 2: ONSITE, May 1, 2026, 8:30AM-12:30 PM, Jordan Medical Education Center, Room #515 W JMEC, 3400 Civic Center Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19104.

Target Audience: Clinicians, faculty and staff who give presentations. A presentation can be as big as a talk at a conference, a division or Board meeting, but can also include smaller and more personal communication opportunities such as one-on-one conversations, team meetings and pitching an idea to a department or institutional leadership.

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Master a methodology to organize and prioritize your content
  2. Manage presentation/meeting time for maximum productivity
  3. Identify and deliver stories that influence your audience
  4. Be more concise
  5. Engage your audience
  6. Simplify and elevate your visuals (slides)


PROCESS
Our communication specialists guide you through highly interactive workshops with practical exercises to ensure application of the skills. You bring an existing presentation; one you have recently given or one you will be presenting soon. You will use that content to apply the techniques in the program.

Registration Fee: The registration fee is $599.00 per participant.

Program Scheduling
To safeguard a shared learning experience a minimum of 8 participants must be registered to run the program. And a maximum of 18 participants to ensure individual coaching and practice time.

SCHEDULE
Prior to the workshop:

  • Complete and submit Pre-Program Skills Assessment

  • Watch assigned learning videos in the Presentation Lab and complete the exercise

    • Preparing your content (4-minutes)

    • Know Your Audience (3-minutes)

    • Lead a Virtual Meeting (4-minutes)

    • Storytelling (3.5-minutes)

    • Visualizing (2.5-minutes)

    • Pump up Your Visuals (3-minutes)

  • Bring to the workshop a current presentation opportunity that includes a PowerPoint presentation.

WORKSHOP (4-hours)

• Review and debrief participant's meeting/presentation strategies
• Identify and deliver strategic stories to influence and persuade
• Build and deliver visualizing examples to amplify key points
• Engage your audience to get and keep their attention
• Identify hybrid presenting considerations
• Learn the StandOut guidelines for PowerPoint
• Apply the visual guidelines to a current deck
• Build a 30-day action plan for continued growth

In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.  

Designation of Credit

Physicians: Penn Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 5.50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses: This program provides 5.50 NCPD Hours.

Physician Assistants: AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. PAs may receive a maximum of 5.50 Category 1 credits for completing this activity.



AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (5.50 hours), NCPD Hours (ANCC) (5.50 hours), Non-Physician Attendance / Participation (5.50 hours)


Cancellation Policy and Refund Policy:

To ensure fairness and respect for participants, CMIE and the Dana Band Group, the following cancellation policy applies.

• Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 2 weeks in advance of session one it will be considered a late cancellation, and the participant will be charged the full amount of the program.
• Cancellation within 3 weeks of session one will receive a 50% refund.
• Cancellations prior to 4 weeks before the session one start date will receive a full refund or priority registration for the next cohort.

To process refunds for course withdrawals, cancellations must be received via email.

Penn Medicine adheres to the ACCME’s Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education.
