The primary goal of this series is to provide ongoing educational updates and reviews to our physicians, nurses, and other professional staff on our team to ensure that we are all current with the best practices of immune effector cell (IEC) transplantation. This series will promote application of the best possible and most up to date therapies and will ensure standardization across our group and minimize variations in care. Many of the meetings are led by an expert on a specific topic relevant to cell therapy. All sessions are lecture based interactive discussion relating to cellular therapy.

1. Discuss clinical overview and immune effector cells in both cancer and non-cancer.
2. Discuss clinical pathways for the management and prevention of cell therapy toxicities. (i.e. IEC-HLH, CRS, ICANs and IL2 management).
3. Review publications in the field of cell therapy, highlighting novel insights and their implications for clinical practice in a didactic setting
4. Discuss activated cell therapy clinical trials across the Clinical Research Units

In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.  

Designation of Credit
Physicians: Penn Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 1.00 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Physician Assistants: AAPA accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ from organizations accredited by ACCME or a recognized state medical society. PAs may receive a maximum of 1.00 Category 1 credits for completing this activity.

Nurses: This program provides 1.00 NCPD Hours.

ABS MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn 1.00 credits toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
