The goal of the Hematology/Oncology Tumor Board Case Conference is to present cases and introduce data to support the treatment of plan. The conference will address many issues pertaining to diagnosis of patients. Fellows present the cases along with experts who advise the proper treatment plan. Each case presentation is supported by evidence from the research literature.

Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Discuss treatment options for patients with cancer
  2. Describe proper evaluation, and as a consultant for patients with unknown diagnosis, but with possible malignancy
  3. Discuss the role of the medical oncologist in managing patient cancer


In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
