The goal of Cardiovascular Surgery M&M conference is to provide a forum for faculty, nurses, PAs, and trainees to explore the management details of particular cases wherein morbidity or mortality occurred.

Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Describe new trends and therapeutic modalities in surgery today.
  2. Describe how to Identify alternative methods in which complications can be intervened to avoid future problems/errors.
  3. Review and discuss surgical complications, the associated pathophysiology, and the management therefore, including medico-legal ramifications.
