Course Overview
The Philadelphia Acute Leukemia Consortium Rounds will provide the opportunity for physicians involved in the care of patients with acute leukemia and myeloid malignancies to build their competence and to facilitate networking among professionals for collaboration on patient care. The purpose of the Philadelphia Leukemia Consortium Rounds is to bring together academic centers and community oncology practices to increase knowledge of acute leukemias and myeloid malignancies. In doing so, the patient population will be better served by having a greater understanding of each institutions’ unique ability to provide optimal care.

Specialties - INTERNAL MEDICINE - Medical Oncology, PEDIATRICS - Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, RADIATION ONCOLOGY

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Explain the most recent data on novel treatment options in acute leukemias and myeloid malignancies
  2. Discuss drug interactions with novel therapies and how to manage
  3. Explain diagnostic and prognostic testing and challenges, relapse prevention and detection of measurable residual disease
  4. Assess resources for patient education and support

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.  

Designation of Credit
Physicians: Penn Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nursing Accreditation
