The Rena Rowan Breast Case Conference follows the NAPBC standards, including: promoting the inclusion of a broad range of physicians,nurses, and advanced partitioners to address early diagnosis, quality of life, ethics,or other relevant topics.Our multi-disciplinary meeting also is to improve patient care, promote effective management of resources, and make decisions that reflect the patient's goals for treatment. At this meeting we will discuss treatment options, including investigational therapy, for breast cancer patients to offer a collaborative recommendation.

Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Delineate institutional and national pathways/guidelines in the management of breast malignancy.
  2. Discuss multidisciplinary care and discussion to improve outcomes andquality of life.
  3. Describe the critical role of radiology and pathology in the multidisciplinary management of breast cancer
  4. Describe how to Increase awareness clinical trials at the ACC and throughout the nation and to enhance enrollment in clinical trials.
