The goal of the ID Case Management Conference as an educational activity is to create a setting where real cases are presented and discussed. This will keep the attendees (physicians, nurses, physician assistants, and pharmacists) up-to-date with the latest trends in infectious diseases, diagnoses, diagnostic approaches, and treatments. Such a series will allow attendees to maintain their competence and improve patient safety. These goals are also important links to the departmental/institutional quality improvement initiatives
