This course is designed to provide the audience with the most current clinical advances in ophthalmology and highlight on-going research taking place at the Scheie Eye Institute in the fields of glaucoma, anterior segment, retinal diseases, genetics, oculoplastic surgery, neuro-ophthalmology and ocular pathology.

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Review the aspects of a clinical glaucoma genetics study that has enrolled 10,000 patients in Philadelphia
  2. Review how adaptive optics can be used to assess the structure and function of individual photoreceptors
  3. Discuss how OCT can be used to differentiate among dementias
  4. Identify and manage complicated oculoplastic cases in the adult and pediatric age group
  5. Clarify new methods of diagnosis and management of dry eye and ocular surface diseases
  6. Discuss new diagnostic modalities and ocular imaging techniques
  7. Review insights into the diagnosis and management of glaucoma
  8. Discuss new concepts in ocular viral infections

SUBMIT YOUR POSTER!
All participants are welcome to present a poster at the Friday, May 5 meeting. The poster session will take place during the am and pm breaks (see agenda for times). Topics can include Case Reports or Case Series, Clinical Research, or Basic/Translational Research in Vision Science. We request that posters are a max size of 44” tall x 44” wide, but will accept your submission as long as it is no larger than 44” x 66”. If presenting a poster, please check the box on the registration form. You will receive a follow-up email requesting your poster size and title of your poster. The deadline for all submissions is Friday, April 14, 2023.
 
ANNIVERSARY DINNER REGISTRATION
The Anniversary Dinner will be located at the Barnes Foundation on Saturday, May 6 at 6:00 pm. To attend the dinner, you must RSVP to Paige O’Malley at [email protected] or call 267-838-0660. There is no fee to attend the Anniversary Dinner. You must register separately for it, it is not included in the course registration. Please note, registration for the Anniversary Celebration on May 6, 2023, is not yet live.
