The goal of this case conference is to enhance understanding of diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of acute leukemia and other myeloid disorders.

Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Discuss the importance of adequate marrow cellularity. Tracking technique of marrow. Involvement if pathology in educational series.
  2. Describe and identify appropriate prophylactic therapies required for patients receiving therapy for acute leukemia.
  3. Review the standard of care treatment, medications, concomitant medications, risks, benefits and potential toxicities or how to find out/whom to ask.
