OBGYN Quality Forum is a recurrent event that provides an opportunity for ongoing review of our inpatient clinical practices. During these sessions we review practice patterns and we engage in interdisciplinary discussion surrounding selected cases, using quality improvement tools, to improve communication among health care providers and staff. Through these discussions we create and promote initiatives to improve patient safety, reduce medical errors, and encourage outstanding communication and professionalism.

Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Identify and address barriers to team communication and implement strategies to correct.
  2. Discuss and eliminate disparities/inequities in health care while improving health for all patients
  3. Implement solutions in preventing systemic racism and unconscious bias in reproductive health
