REVIVE 2027: Mastering the Art and Science of Resuscitation

REVIVE: Mastering the Art and Science of Resuscitation is the premier interprofessional conference for clinicians who manage cardiac arrest and shock, hosted by the Center for Resuscitation Science at Penn Medicine. Now in its second year, REVIVE delivers a full day of fast-paced, evidence-based lectures from nationally recognized experts, moderated case-based discussions, and immersive afternoon hands-on breakout stations covering advanced defibrillation, airway mastery, resuscitative ultrasound, hemodynamic-directed resuscitation, post-arrest care, and high-performance team debriefing. The 2027 program builds on an exceptional first year that drew more than 200 attendees from across the country, with 91% rating the faculty as excellent and 95% reporting that the conference would change their clinical practice. New for 2027 are sessions on ECMO and mechanical circulatory support, traumatic and obstetric arrest, and a firsthand account of cardiac arrest. REVIVE is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, and prehospital providers across emergency medicine, critical care, and cardiology. The hybrid format extends access globally, and all lecture recordings are made available to registered attendees following the educational activity.

1. Apply evidence-based strategies to optimize care before, during, and after cardiac arrest, integrating current AHA guidelines and emerging research.
2. Implement updated targeted temperature management and post-arrest hemodynamic protocols in clinical practice.
3. Integrate advanced resuscitation skills including DSD/VCD defibrillation, airway management during CPR, resuscitative ultrasound, and hemodynamic-directed resuscitation.
4. Lead high-performance resuscitation teams using structured communication, crisis leadership, and systematic debriefing.
5. Recognize indications for ECMO-CPR and MCS; manage cardiac arrest in special populations including pregnancy, PE, and traumatic arrest.
6. Apply multimodal neuroprognostication frameworks to guide post-arrest care and family communication.

LIVE AND VIRTUAL PRESENTATIONS
REVIVE: Mastering the Art and Science of Resuscitation will be held Saturday, April 10, 2027 by in-person or live-stream (virtual) attendance. The live and virtual presentations will follow the scheduled agenda in real time (EDT). Note! The Live Stream portion does not include the breakout sessions, and will conclude at 3:00 pm.

Save $50 by registering early! In-person early bird registration fees are limited to the first 20 registrations in each category (except students which is limited to the 1st 10). In-person early bird fees are only valid until max capacity is reached or through December 31, 2026, whichever comes first.

LIVE-STREAM (VIRTUAL) ACCESS
Attendees registered to attend virtually will receive an email that includes the link to join the symposium and the electronic program handout within 48 hours of the symposium. Virtual attendees will be required to sign onto the Live Stream broadcast using their first name, last name and email address to be marked as attended, receive credit and view the recorded content.

Designation of Credit
Physicians: Penn Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 8.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In order to process refunds for course withdrawals, cancellations must be received in writing by March 26, 2027 (subject to a service charge equivalent to 10% of the registration fee, but no less than $25.00). No refunds will be issued thereafter.

The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation or postponement, the University will refund registration fees but is not responsible for related costs or expenses to participants, including cancellation fees assessed by hotels, airlines, and travel agencies.
