Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. List how to screen for and treat primary aldosteronism
  2. Describe how to utilize Lp(a) in lipid management.
  3. Identify patients in whom coronary artery calcium score should be obtained and understand how the result impacts lipid management.
  4. Discuss the risk and benefits of various wearable device technologies.


In support of improving patient care, Penn Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.  

Designation of Credit

Physicians: Penn Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 4.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 4.25 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.
